I was just wondering... does anyone here speak anything other than English? I'd assume that some of you have a working knowledge of Spanish and all, being from the US.

Oh, and I've been studying French for quite a few years at school, but it's so difficult to learn another language here, as Australia is so geographically isolated in comparison to the Americas and Europe, that there aren't a whole lot of opportunities to speak other languages unless you bump into someone that also speaks it, by chance.

Okay, I'm back into this game, yet again, so I thought it would be reasonable to let you guys know about it.

It's a SRPG for GBA (you're all smart enough to use an emulator) that is similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. I don't know if it's just me, but the game just seems to ooze quality. I can't really explain it, but I think you should all give it a go. Play until you're properly into the story, at least.

Tethering

Okay, so this is some technology that I wasn't personally ready for. I didn't know about it until I switched from AT&T, the guy at Verison told me about it. So I tethered my phone to my laptop and low and behold, I have a connection. SO, from there, I knew I could just share the connection through Ethernet, and whabam, just signing up for a cellphone got me back online on my PS3. Amazing technology, honestly.

I'm fairly confident that I can hook a router up to my laptop and route my whole house network through my cellphone, which would be quite awesome. Guess I'll experiment.

Went and picked this up a couple days ago and just finished it. Anyone else played it? Thoughts?

I personally thought it was great up until the end, just not enough build-up. Seemed like it could have been a much longer game they just got in a hurry to finish it. Great graphics, great storyline (imo, but I'm into conspiracy and shit like that), great characters even. Don't think it's worth the buy though honestly, after the first playthrough it's boring lol. Just rent it.

A great phone imo, makes the iPhone look like a brick (The iPhone 3 at least, 4 is closer, but again, I still don't think it's even close). I love it, and before, I was a big fan of the iPhone, and found myself dissing Google / Android.

Right, here's the dilemma. It's my 18th Birthday and I'm looking into getting a new Laptop for the rest of this year and for Uni next year, as mine it literally wearing out from overuse.

I currently have a Core Duo 1.86 / 1.5GB / Intel IGP / 15.4" system, so anything is going to be an improvement, outside of a netbook.

I've already narrowed it down to two options, but for the sake of keyboard excercise, I'll state what I'm looking for:

* Small. 13" is a maximum
* Weight is not an issue
* Decent graphics. I want to be able to play the odd Source game, especially CS. Stuff like BC2 would be nice, but not necessary.
* Aesthetics. Given the amount of time I spend on computers, I want this laptop to look nice.
* Battery Life. For general/working usage, 7hrs is a minimum. I'd be plugged in for gaming, so Optimus is a really good idea.
* A good keyboard. Backlit is preferred. Num keys aren't necessary, or an option for a system of this size.
* Companion system. I have a perfectly capable desktop for the more demanding uses; I'll save Crysis and benching for that.

...okay. So here are the final contenders.

1. Macbook Pro 13" 2.4GHz - Slim, sturdy, snappy, beautiful screen an keyboard/touchpad. Graphics is adequate for some gaming, while the processor is snappy. I'm happy to use Snow Leopard. Lots of Source games now run on it and I can dual-boot where necessary. Leaning towards this at the moment. Looks more professional.

2. Alienware M11x Core 2 Duo/i3 - LIGHTS! But really. It's small, pretty, has a backlit keyboard (and anything else I want to light up. ) a higher res than the MBP, gets better battery life Windows, but not as good as the Mac in OSX. The processor is slower, but the graphics card is quite a step up. Looks more unique.

So here I am. Stuck between two beautiful laptops, copying and pasting my thread onto multiple forums, in the hope that I can attain enlightenment. I know that everyone's just going to vote for either OSX or Windows; those who don't are going to tell me that both are a rip-off and that I should go for another brand. Honestly, specs are not everything. The build quality and appearance of each are really important, and I'm happy to play a little more for those. One concern that I have regards OSX. Can I turn mouse acceleration off for games in Snowy?

I'd like to make a decision over the next week at the latest. Cheers.

LBP has become my "main game" if you will, and I've certainly spent a lot of time developing my creation skills in that game. There's one thing that I definitely do better than most, and that's music levels (which are rare to begin with!).

Basically I'm asking if any of you have the game still (or plan on getting it ever. ;D) if you could play my levels...I'm looking for opinions or improvements in my levels.

Currently I really only have 1 TRUE level published, and it's alright. Lately I've been focusing on music and visuals and stuff like that. So I have a few unfinished level levels, but they probably won't be finished for a while (if they ever will be, that is.)

My newest level is Clock Town First Day - Music Level ;D I think it's pretty fantastic. ^o^ I hope you all think so too....if you play it. xD

(Also, sorry for my lack of interest in pokemon right now. I can't help it...)

I'm always late playing these games, but picked it up and other than the fact that it's almost a complete copy of God of War, I love it. The storyline is sweet, and it's very adult with all the gore and nudity.

I haven't played this generation much, so I recently started a file on it and I'm loving it. So, I'll post my team and stuff for now, and seeing as I'm currently playing I'll probably be double posting.

Right now I'm about to battle Flannery, my Pokemon are low leveled but I'm keeping them diverse in type so I can last throughout the game.

I'm unsure of how long this new forum has been up. lol How come no one told me!?

Anyway, I'm not sure how active I'll be as pokemon is taking a backseat in my gaming life. (That is, until BW comes out on Shoddy in which case I'll probably be hooked right back in). I'll do my best though. :3 And if I stop showing up, send me messages anywhere you can find me!
